Which iPod Touch is better for me?

I am planning to get an iPod touch in replacement of my first generation iPod Nano 4GB.

I want to know if the 8GB or 16GB is better for me.

I will probably hold 300-750 songs at once, but it might go higher.

I want to download many apps that will be fun, entertaining and handy.

I plan to use Wi-Fi, Facebook and all that stuff.

Should I get the 8GB or the 16GB

[I live in Canada, where would be a price comparison of the two?]
