How to find the right clothes?

I am from the UK and have a lot of trouble finding clothes I like. I can find the size I want but not the design and colours. Everything seems so boring.
Is there a website where you can tell it what you want from your clothes and they will find some that match your specification. Like a price comparison site?
I like clothes with colour that stand out. I **** dull colours like black and brown and dark blue. I dont mind if it isnt designer as long as it doesnt look like something affordable or scruffy. I like to have style

Are alterations cheaper somewhere other then davids bridal?
