Diets with prepackaged foods are increasingly popular as consumers today highly value convenience and freedom from preparing foods and totaling calories. Following is short description of some of the more popular plans and a few of the differences between them.

Nutrisystem: This plan is endorsed by Tori Spelling and Marie Osmond. The diet is designed so that you are eating five times per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks). You are asked to eat the program’s foods while supplementing each one with your own healthy additions. An example is adding a lunch time salad that you have prepared to the plans’ black beans and rice. The company offers recipes, tips and support on their website. The cost averages about $10 per day, but there are some costs associated with supplementing each meal with some of your own food.

Jenny Craig: This plan is endorsed by Valerie Bertinelli and Queen Latifiah. (Kirstie Alley used to represent this company, but has recently signed off). This option also offers prepackaged meals which are called “Jenny Cuisine”. The big difference between this diet and some others is that it offers weekly one on one weight loss counseling with a consultant. Some people really prefer this individual support and some have a hard time making this sort of time commitment.

Jenny Craig is a bit more expensive than nutrisystem, with the food averaging about $14 per day, but you aren’t supplementing with your own food. There are also monthly membership fees, but these cover the cost of your counseling.

Medifast: This diet is endorsed by Kristi Swanson and Genie Francis. Most people on this plan eat six times per day, which includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and three snacks. Clients typically eat five of the plan’s meals and one “lean and green” meal that you prepare yourself. So, you are assembling your largest meal on your own, but the rest of your foods are covered. The cost of medifast is about $8 per day and there are no membership fees. Like nutrisystem, the company offers support, recipes, and resources on its website. There will be some costs associated with providing your own daily lean and green meal, but I personally find this to be minimal.

Which diet you prefer depends greatly upon your personal preferences. If you crave one on one support, Jenny Craig will probably appeal more to you. The difference between the other two lies a lot with how much you are willing to supplement what you are eating with your own foods. If you enjoy cooking or planning meals, you might prefer nutrisystem. If convenience is most important to you, medifast might be a reasonable option.

Insurance Aggregators in the UK

The market place for car insurance in the UK has taken a massive leap forward in the past five years and the whole market strategy for many car insurance providers has taken a new path to the price comparison companies.

The traditional method of advertising car insurance was originally placed on the high street with the local insurance broker servicing the local community and the whole process was very much a face to face operation. In the 1980′s however the world of car insurance was revolutionised by the intervention of the now household name, Direct Line.

This new kid on the block bought home the power of marketing through the biggest medias of the time, TV, radio and telephone directories and introduced the British public to the car insurance call centre.

For twenty years the car insurance call centre was to lead the way in how people would buy their insurance cover and an explosion of call centres was seen across the UK.

During this time the main method of marketing was that of the telephone directory such as the Yellow Pages and their own market place became an extremely lucrative media with everyone clambering to get themselves in the opening sections of the directories.

For the last five years the car insurance industry has been turned on its head yet again with the intervention of the internet and the another new kid on the block, the insurance aggregators or as they are better known the ‘price comparison’ websites.

In this short space of time the traditional telephone directories have literally been obliterated by this new wave media it has been a revolution of choice for the motor insurance consumer who can now find market rates at their fingertips rather than having to spend hours flicking through telephone directories. One of the most successful types of online insurance referrers for niche car insurance cover have been those who specialise in cheaper car insurance for women policies.

I havent really been keeping up with the Sims games for a while, my last Sims game was Sims Bustin’ Out for the Xbox and Gamecube (dont know why i had both). Anyway, I know how games sometimes have added things you can do on PC, like mods and such, I know Fallout 3 was kind of like that and i sort of regretted getting it for the 360 instead of PC. I was wondering if both or neither will have multiplayer, if so which one you think will perform better, and I was also wondering if you think PC would be smarter gameplay wise. I do enjoy the feel of Sims games on 360 though, and I really dont want to get it on the PC because if its soley fullscreen I wont be able to play it and still talk to my girlfriend and all my friends. Price comparison, and system requirements would help in my decision too, which one should I get?
im also wondering if I could install and play the game on many other computers, because I know a couple family members and friends who would like to play.

Good evening all,

For the last month or so I have been working out, relatively three times a week at about an hour a trip or more. I usually do a couple of machines for everything, and run 1.5 miles. I have been using a whey protein mix, and its been working well for me. The only problem is I am getting bulk, but no real tone or definition. So, I decided to embark on my own 60 day program at the gym. I picked up some Pro Performance AMP Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60 and Mega Men Extreme Athlete Vita pack after some research and price comparison. Great products to help me, but I realize I must also have an optimized diet and workout program in order to get anything out of these products. So this leads to my current plans and my question. My current workout plan is as follows:

Pre-Workout(Mornings, before workout) :

Basic warmups of simple exercises like push-ups, side hops, basically everything the Army has ever taught me for warming up.

Workout(Shooting for 1.5 hours a day/7 days a week):

Start with Cardio, a nice paced run for 1.5 miles to start and hoping to increase as the workout goes to 2.5 or possibly 3. Alternate between focusing on my legs one day(Overall legs) to the next day focusing on upper body, while spending each upper body day doing an extra set of reps on a specific muscle group(back, chest, shoulders, etc). My current plan is 15 reps x 3 with near max weight. I have been doing 25-35 reps and I was told by a friend that was too many reps at too much weight – I wasn’t going to get toned. Free weights mixed with with machines.

Afterworkout:

Whey shake followed by simple stretches.

Diet:
My main focus of my diet is lean meat. Usually eggs or oatmeal at breakfast with fruit, maybe oatmeal or lean meat sandwhich for lunch with a fruit snack, and maybe a small dinner of turkey or chicken.

Yes, I know it was a lot of information but I felt like in order to get good advice, I needed to provide details of what my current battle plan is. My question is, looking at my plans – what do I need to change in order to optimize my workout program?

If you are an avid fitness walker or have been looking for different weight loss methods, than I am sure you have heard of MBT shoes. Also known as the anti-shoe, it is a range of footwear that helps improve posture, work a lot of different muscle groups, and aids in burning more calories. But the biggest stumbling block for most people when deciding to buy these shoes has been its price tag of $255. Until recently, only the affluent and wealthy could afford these sneakers. Now days though, you can get the same quality styles for more than 40% of what people paid for them just a year ago.

Buying MBT shoes on clearance is a great way to save a bunch of money. Just because they are sold at a discount does not mean it is an imitation or a damaged style. Most of the models available at clearance prices are just discontinued types that retailers have an abundance of, and are reasonably priced.

Receiving the anti-shoe at discounted prices is not something that takes very long. However, one must implement some simple steps that will help you pinpoint your selections. One thing you should do first and foremost is to know your foot size. Go to any retailer and they will properly measure your width and length for you or just use the chart yourself.

After you know your size, start looking on line for some of the best places to buy MBT shoes on the Internet. On the first couple pages of Google, you’ll find the best on line retailers that sell the anti-shoe, but try adding the words clearance, discount, on sale to your normal search of “MBT shoes.”

Whether you need shoes, sandals or boots, you will be able to find MBT shoe clearance sales on line. There are on line retailers that offer a massive selection of the discontinued styles. This footwear is specially priced because they have new MBT styles they are trying to promote.

They keep their prices for the anti-shoe low year round for discontinued styles. This helps get them more customers introduced to this beneficial footwear. Another great way to get MBT shoes clearance prices is to take advantage of the several shopping search engines out there. Most of them have at least a few providers selling the anti-shoe at discounted prices, some even offer free shipping as an added incentive.

Retailers know that they have to do what they can to stay in business during this economic meltdown. Some people may shy away from MBT shoes clearance items, but most will find these styles more than satisfying to meet their fitness requirements as well as saving a substantial amount of money.

Health insurance is often a catch-22 situation – it’s important to have coverage, it’s often expensive, and yet you truly can’t afford not to have it. The cost of medical treatment, if you are injured or become ill, is totally out of sight and for most people, impossible for them to pay off. If you agree that it’s important to have medical coverage, you need to start looking for the plan you can afford and works for you. Know ahead of time you’ll have lots of options to choose from, and it’s not easy to compare health insurance companies. The two most common and well-known plans are PPOs and HMOs, and in this article we will discuss the pros and cons for each of them.

HMO is an acronym for Health Maintenance Organization. This option is usually the less expensive choice. With an HMO plan there’s no deductible, which is the agreed upon amount you’re responsible for paying before the insurance provider pays your claim. You’ll find that co-payments also are inexpensive when you choose this kind of coverage. The downside to HMOs is even though they are a less expensive option, they also have much more restrictive policies in place. With HMO coverage you will be assigned to a primary care doctor who will be responsible for overseeing all of your medical care. What that means for you is that you are required to get your primary care doctor’s permission before being able to consult with any other doctors for any reason.

PPO stands for Preferred Provider Organization. To start with, a PPO is a lot less restrictive than an HMO. For one thing, you’re not going to be restricted to just one primary care doctor. You are given access to a network of doctors and health care providers, and for an additional fee you are allowed to consult with doctors who are not part of the network. Obviously a PPO is a lot less restrictive, but on the other hand it’s a lot more expensive. Copayments with a PPO are fairly low, but your deductibles can run high – sometimes a few hundred dollars up to $1,000 or more.

Even though HMOs and PPOs are considered the most common kinds of medical coverage, both of these options have definite pros and cons to them. There always seems to be a trade off between cost and flexibility. No matter which option you are considering while doing comparisons of health insurance, you will still want to know you’re getting the best price possible, so the easiest way to be sure that’s happening is by getting quotes from a variety of health insurance providers. Be aware of the intense competition between the variety of healthcare providers, and remember, that very competition is going to give you the chance to save yourself a lot of money. You’ll quickly discover how much costs will vary from one provider to another, and the few minutes you spend getting a cross-section of quotes from multiple health insurance companies will give you the opportunity to find the greatest coverage at the best price.
